ENERGY ~ what a wonderful word that resonates our physical and mental wellbeing. A restless nights sleep, a negative thought or feeling we dwell on is so impactful to our overalll energy. I woke up this morning with the feeling of incredible creativity, energy and overall happiness. Most mornings I wake up, place both feet on the floor and smile hoping this will start my day on a positive path which usually does. Today, I almost hopped on the floor, opened the curtains to see a beautiful sunrise and the most gorgeous bird sitting on the ledge looking at me. We look at each other for sometime and I experienced this warmth throughout my body that was so moving. With this amazing feeling I engaged in my morning meditation with such happiness and content. I am now at 98 days of continuous meditation which has become a natural morning merci to www.headspace.com. Following my meditation session, I make my usual morning drinks. Yes, drinks! I love to start the morning cleansing myself with warm water mixed with something I might be craving before a cafe or mate. My years of traveling to Asia introduced me to warm lemon water first thing in the morning. A cup of this is so perfect to start your day as our body fasts throughout the night and it helps cleanse itself of toxins while energizing you for the day. It also helps balance the body’s PH, stimulates digestion and helps cleanse your liver. My treat are meyer lemons when they are in season. All you need is a lemon slice and some warm water.
