As we stroll the city on a winter day it is always wonderful to know of where the wonderful tea salons are. For me especially since I am not a Starbucks kinda girl.

Here are a few of my favorites….and I am sure when winter does arrive, I will be discovering more tea rooms!

1.The high-end restaurant Eleven Madison ParK’s tea offerings change with the seasons. They offer five different teas for table side tastings for two. An elegant experience and you must dress accordingly.

2. Strolling Soho a cozy and casual place would be the lovely Harney & Sons. They have a tea bar for tasting the daily selection and a tea room in the back.

3. In my lovely Murray Hill neighborhood, I stumbled upon Ippodo Tea Company. It is an authentic Japanese green tea shop from Kyoto serving authentic Matcha. Matcha if full of theanine, an amino acid that has a calming effect. They also offer a wide range of green teas.

4. When strolling in Williamsburg I stopped at Matcha Bar which is also known for their Matcha. The shop was filled with a hip young crowd. Amazing tea, pastries and people watching 🙂
