Thanks to Open Table, I have found yet another culinary gem just 2 blocks from my maison. Spoon Table & Bar, which opened last August, is what I would refer to as an American Brasserie.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, using all organic & local ingredients, and offering a personally curated selection of wines, beers and cocktails by chef/founder Melissa Chmelar. The only suggestion I would make is to add a little warmth to the interior with flowers, color and warmer lighting.
They serve a perfect Stumptown Americana. I am looking forward to returning and trying their chive and parsley egg salad sandwich!
