One important detail I have learned from my experience in decorating is the importance of lighting. One of my favorite homes I designed was on an empty lot in San Clemente. Loved having the flexibility in a new construction to really fine-tune every detail required for perfect lighting – from task areas to photos. I love to mix modern and new.

An important detail that is a must when doing lighting is a dimmer in every room – including the bathrooms! I find while entertaining in late evening, dimmers in the bathroom set that late night mood.
