As we mature in life, become more seasoned, experienced, well-rounded and always challenged by what is the right way to nurture our bodies as we age it can be overwhelming. I, for one, will admit I am a bullet, go getter, I can do it, bring it on…haha. Being very in tune to my body, energy level each day and most of all staying healthy I find I am very grateful to have the knowledge and awareness. However, being small framed I have found I am a candidate for osteopenia, and yes I have been diagnosed with osteopenia. This post is for not just the 50+ generation but for the new millenniums as they face so many new products, diets and companies promoting what is best for our health and skin. I have been a pescatarian for over 30 years and also eat very little dairy….the only treat maybe a wonderful cheese plate in Paris.
My post today is how we can get the right amount of calcium in our diet without giving in to animal produced dairy.
I have started a morning routine with a mug of dashi with grated fresh ginger before my morning cafe or tea.
Another wonderful way to get calcium in my daily routine! One does not need supplements…just awareness!
Go for it! Challenge your body and stay healthy…..and happy!
Here is more information on dashi.
