AUGUST…pursue something passionate – Learning French – this should be titled pursuing almost the impossible for me!
For the past 9 years I have been diving in and out of taking French classes, only to find myself so frustrated it is taking so long. Seems to be when we get older, learning a language becomes harder for most. I am so envious with those that find it easy. As I get ready for my upcoming 4 weeks in France I am so bummed I have yet to master the language. So, while I am there I am committed to take classes at least twice a week. My goal will be to return to France, maybe Bordeaux in 2020 or 2021 for a few months and just focus on becoming semi-fluent.
I just recently started following on Instagram @yestheory which is all about helping people achieve their full potential. I highly recommend you take the time to follow them as well as check out how the company came to be. www.yestheory.com It is such an amazing and inspiring story that will for sure captivate you. One of the founders is the son of my beautiful friend Helena who is one of the most inspirational woman I know. Her son is driven and passionate about life like his mother and father are. They just launched their first documentary about following your dream. A story based on a friend they met at a party who wanted to climb the worlds largest pyramid. Together, Thomas, Matt and Ammar formed what is today “Yes Theory” a digital media brand built around a YouTube channel. I highly recommend you go online and watch their first documentary “The Lost Pyramid” directed by Thomas Brag & Ammar Kandil.
They are currently running a contest on instagram where you post a picture of yourself with a sign that says “I have a dream”. They will pick one person and help them achieve their dream. I am thinking about posting a picture of OSKAR with a sign that says “My mom has a dream”.

Una cherie, If Bordeaux is your preferred destination, and you really want to learn french, I suggest you do as I did: become a live-in volunteer at a charitable religious community for a few months. No english will be spoken and all will help you learn and you’ll be forced to learn quickly. I am close friends with one of the foundresses of Maison Marie in Bordeaux. Chat me up again, if interested. In six months my french was survivable. In one year it was fairly comfortable. Cheers! CS
