I AM 60!
WOW, I cannot believe my last post on my higher purpose was in August. What an amazing past few months I have had. So happy I took the time to embrace every moment and felt really no pressure to blog. I was so comfortable with accepting this was my time to sit back, go with the flow, feel free, write, read, be with friends, family and make the beginning of the next decade amazing. I really enjoy writing and sharing when the words, ideas, experiences are so alive in me. My family and friends have blessed me with their love and filled me with wonderful memories that will forever hold a special place in my heart. So, I am energized to journal and share the past two months with you. I would like to begin with my 60th birthday which was for sure a milestone as we all experience when we reach another “decade” in our life. I want to give thanks to my family and dear friends who were there to celebrate with me in Boston, New York and France.
CHAPTER 9 – Celebrate the Gift of Life
My Birthday fell on Labor Day Weekend, as it usually does. As a little girl, I seriously did not look forward to my birthday as the beginning of the school year soon followed. For my birthday weekend, I decided to hop on a train to Boston and visit my sister Maureen for the weekend. Maureen had been in Maui for months and I have missed being together with her dearly. Needless to say, our time together in Boston was amazing! We celebrated my birthday with the crew at Soul Cycle in the morning, then brunch on the main strip in Boston. We walked around and found a fantastic second hand shop where I scored on a Burberry trench coat for $200. The story about how this trench coat could not have been more timing will come later in my Paris update blog. Maureen was for sure shocked I was purchasing a very stained coat and wondering if I would ever get the stains out and actually wear it. Thankfully, I have an amazing cleaners in NYC for my finest belongings whom always work miracles. Kingbridge Cleaners and Tailors have locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. They did an AMAZING job! When I think about celebrating the gift of life I think about family and friends that truly express unconditional love. I am so thankful for this gift in my life. Here are a few photos from my month traveling in France with my boys, twin sister and friends…..and my famous Burberry trench coat.
