In the next few days, I will be updating my blog with the amazing recipes I served for the most recent dinner party. There were 8 of us for dinner and in advance, I did let my guests know it would be a Vegetarian soirée. I knew the women would be totally chill with the idea, just wanted to make sure the men were prepared. Preparing 8 dishes, setting the table, and arranging the flowers did require some planning. So, here is how I set out my plan for the dinner without being stressed. For the actual menu, I did have an idea, however, I waited til Saturday’s farmers market to really plan what I would be creating. The best treat from the market was the figs! This got me so excited to create a fig dessert. Oh, the baby eggplant, french radishes, and cucumbers looked so amazing. And, to my surprise, it is the start of tomato season!
After arriving home, I cleaned and trimmed all the vegetables with the exception of the fruit.
The day before the soirée:
~ Picke up & arranged the flowers which I ordered fresh from our local florist.
~ Set the table, rolled the silver in individual Napkins, and placed in a wooden bowl
~ Prepared the olive oil tart pastry and set in the fridge wrapped in plastic
~ Prepared the mushroom purée
~Marinated the cucumbers
~Cooked the baby potatoes for the lentil salad
The day of the soirée I cooked for approximately 5 hours very happy doing what I love. 🧡
