“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” – Mahatma Gandhi
Entertaining, eating out, and off my normal routine, I realized I needed to focus on what makes me feel grounded. When we embrace change and go off our normal routine, finding a balance with the new and old can be a challenge.
I am taking that challenge head on by consciously making time to focus on health and mindfulness. After dinner or a night out, I spend 20 minutes of yoga at least 5 nights a week. In addition, I am working on my midday nap/meditation. I have found as we move forward in life, physically and emotionally, we need to regroup and embrace our new surroundings. I have found a new world of working out and feeling balanced.
My musts:
- Evening Yoga after dinner for at least 20 minutes
- 3:00 Afternoon 15 minute meditation. I close my eyes on a yoga mat and get deep into my breathing pattern. My first introduction to mediation was with Transcendental meditation in Laguna Beach.
- 3-4 days a week I go to indoor spin and 2-4 mile walk or run.
- SMILE, LOVE, GIVE AND BE GRATEFUL
