During the past one month in quarantine we have had quite a bit of time in our day where we look around and say OMG what am I supposed to be doing. I am so over cleaning my apartment, going thru my closet and pondering what life is going to be after the pandemic. Walking up to Central Park is pretty eerie. Stores closed, Rockefeller Center desolate and the Park so quiet. The beauty this pandemic has rewarded me with is seeing nature blossoming. Birds, buds on trees and no emissions in the air. So, as hard as this is for our world I feel there is a spirit above us saying put the breaks on life. We needed to slow down and our environment has been sending us a message for years. We have grown into a society of over consumption of so many things from clothing to technology. The fashion world which I am apart of is the second largest pollutant in our world today. Now, unfortunately, they are facing some challenging times. We may never see some of our favorite boutiques open up again. This is also true for our favorite local restaurants.
I wanted to share with you some wonderful friends and those that have truly inspired me who are lending a helping hand during this sad time in our life. Finding inspiration gives me hope and a desire to do something productive for our world as well. Open to ideas from you!
So many wonderful friends and designers have been creating the most amazing masks. I love this and the challenge of coordinating the mask with my scarf, beanie and wardrobe. I must admit it is hard to walk miles around the city with a mask on breathing in your own oxygen.

Here are some of my friends and designers making masks:
Saylor Biolos…My friend, Kelly’s daughter, go on instagram @kellybiolos she has a highlight on her insta page “masks” I am wearing one of her masks in the photo above.
Tracy Feith – Such a talented designer and surfer making some chic masks and giving back proceeds to those in need.
Kareen.mccarty on Instagram. Dear friend making stylish masks and I am looking forward to receiving a few in the next few days.
